Babe Ruth
Babe Ruth played major league baseball for 22 years. The Babe started
his career playing for Baltimore and then was traded to Boston where
he played for six years and was then traded to the Yankees. He played
in New York until 1934 and then he joined the Boston Braves for the 1935
season. In his 22-year career, Ruth played 2503 games, and had a
lifetime batting average of .342. The Babe scored 2174 runs and drove
in 2213 runs and was walked 2062 times. He also finished with a pitching
record of 94-46, and had ERA of 2.28. Although the Babe ranks among
career leader in runs batted in, runs scored, walks and lifetime batting
average he is best known for his 714 total home runs.
